Techland has released developer tools for Dying Light so PC gamers can create their own quarantine zones. User created content can then be shared publicly via Steam Workshop.

The Dying Light developer tools give gamers the ability to build their own maps, spin custom stories, and come up with 'insane scenarios limited only by the imagination of the author.'

Techland has created a 6-part video series to give potential creators a guide in creating their own content for the game. The first video series touches on the basics of the creation process. Techland said that more in-depth tutorial videos are currently in the works and will be 'released soon.'

Dying Light's developer tools will be updated and expanded based on user feedback and suggestions on the Dying Light forums.

Dying Light is available on PC, Xbox One, and PS4, but the developer tools are only for the PC version, for obvious reasons. We gave Dying Light an 8.5 in our review, saying that despite an 'OK' story, the game's parkour and zombie massacre mechanics make it a blast to play.
